An 8th-generation Tennessean and long-time Williamson County resident, Emily graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Art History. 

In 2011, she earned a Masters of Architecture from the University of Tennessee and joined Randall Dover, Architect based in Nashville. Emily has been a registered architect in the state of Tennessee since 2014 and founded Emily Saylor Architect, LLC in 2021.

When not drawing, you can find Emily outside with her husband and two kids, cheering on the VOLS, or reading a good book.
